I worked in the graphic arts field in Columbus, Ohio for 30 years. First on offset printing presses, then branching out into typography, camera and lithographic stripping. I earned a degree in Graphic Communications Management. As technology changed I returned to school to learn computer graphics. In early 2017 I discovered oil painting. Originally impacted by the paintings of Edward Hopper my influences grew as I explored more painters. I have studied with artists Joe Lombardo and Sarah Sedwick. My goal is to develop a body of work in a recognizable and engaging style. I believe my graphic arts background is evident in my painting style, thereby helping to define my artistic fingerprint.
